Another Use for Floating HTML Ad Scripts
At least once or twice a year it seems that someone comes out with a new and improved tool for creating floating ads. I know I’ve got a few of them.
And I know they’re easy to use because I’ve used them on my sites from time to time.
However recently I’ve noticed that there are some sites that use those floating ad scripts for a purpose other than promoting a product.
Floating HTML ad scripts are being used to assist site visitors!
Here are 3 examples of how a floating ad script can be used:
1. Create a “Contact” or “Feedback” button

Feedback button
2. Create a “Back to Top” button

Back To Top Button
3. Create a “Notification” button
(Click the link to see where I’m using this 1. And if you scroll down the page you’ll see it stays in your view.)
Now the code to create these buttons is pretty much the same. Here’s the basic floating ad script code:
<a style=”display:scroll;position:fixed;center:5px;right:5px;” href=”YOUR_LINK_HERE“>
<img src=”YOUR_IMAGE_LINK_HERE” alt=”YOUR_IMAGE_ALT_TAG” /></a>
And here’s how you can customize your floating ad-button-notification:
- To make it a top of page button change “YOUR_LINK_HERE” to “#“
- To change the position on the page change the location attributes (center:5px;right:5px).
Want to know where you can use this HTML floating ad script?
Anywhere you’re allowed to use HTML code. You can put it on your website or use the HTML/Java widget on your blog.
Just think. The uses for this small piece of HTML code are endless.
To Your Success,
Susan
P.S. If you don’t have a button image there are lots of free 1 available online or you can pick up my free ebook, “How to Create Custom Buttons Using Word” inside our FriendWhoCare member area and make your own.
P.P.S. Almost forgot, if you do want to use the floating ad script to promote something then you can always use it for that too.

Hi Susan,
I’d seen these floating ads and wondered how to create them.
Thanks to you I now know how to do it. It’s so easy when you are shown how to do it. Thanks for yet again another helpful tutorial.
Great post. I’ve seen this “flags” on the side of webpages recently but did not know how to get them on my page. Thanks for sharing and keeping us up to date!
