My PLR Article Is Number 1 On Google!

Since I own several blogs I have to write a lot of articles. And since I am also an ebook wholesaler I own the PLR rights to many products and articles. However until yesterday I had never used any of the articles for content on my blogs, in my newsletter or anywhere else.

Now the first thing I want to tell you is:

This is not a plr article. This is a true story of how I used a plr article and grabbed the number 1 spot on Google in less than 24 hours.

My Story:

Yesterday I decided to write about using plr articles since they can be used to turn out good content quickly and can help you get traffic from search engines. However since I had never used a plr article I figured I’d better do it at least once or you wouldn’t believe me.

So here’s what I did and if you click the links you’ll see the snapshots I took to prove it.

1. I found the article I wanted to use. – about 5 minutes

2. I verified the content was already being used on multiple sites. I also saw where it had been removed from some of the social media sites. – about 5 minutes

3. I did some keyword research for terms related to the article. – about 15 minutes

4. I put the article in my article writing tool and spun it. (To me spinning a plr article means putting it in your own words, adding and removing things and making the article yours.) – about 30 minutes.

5. I went to my hub page account and posted my spun version of the plr article using the same title as the original article. – about 5 minutes.

6. I went to my Twitter account and informed my followers. I tried to go to my fans page to tell my fans but Facebook wasn’t working when I tried. – less than 5 minutes

7. I waited.

My Results:

In 14 hours my hub page article was in the number 1 position for the keyword phrase I was targeting and ranked number 12 out of 318,000 for a broader keyword phrase.

Could I have done better?

Possibly if I had used a few bookmarking sites too.

Conclusion:

PLR articles can be used to quickly write good content for a target audience. If done properly they will help build your credibility as an expert and will be found by the search engines.

Recommendation:

If you have a hard time thinking up things to write about or have a hard time putting your thoughts into words start with a plr article. Then do some keyword research to get it to the right target audience in the search engines. Spin the article to include your keywords and personality. Post your article online and tell people about it.

If you need some plr articles to get started, try Easy PLR. They offer quality articles, limited distribution and reasonable prices.

To Your Success,
Susan

Thanks for the comment RJ. For my first attempt at using PLR content for an article I thought it was pretty cool too :-)

That’s quite cool, thanks for sharing. Just because a PLR article has been used (even a bunch of times & unmodified at that), that doesn’t mean it cannot still be effective. Especially by using a high-profile / high-trust website like Hubpages, you’re really helping your own article, rewritten or not, to get better exposure than most out there.
