Summer 2010 List Building Joint Venture
From my experience, one of the most successful ways to build your list is participating in giveaways.
And while I didn’t participate in any last year because they all had 1 or more crazy rules, this year I’ve found 2 that are more like the ones that used to be available.

If you’ll help me get my gift ranked higher in these giveaways I’ll help you by:
1. Giving you a free PLR product.
2. Promoting your giveaway link.
3. Promoting your squeeze page.
To get the free unrestricted private label rights for 8 internet marketing reports simply use the links below to join either or both of these giveaways as a contributor and then send me an email with the name of the giveaways you joined and the name and email address you used to join. After I’ve confirmed you have registered as a contributor I’ll send you the information on where you can pick up your copy of the reports.
Now none of these reports comes with a sales or squeeze page however they all have a pre-made report cover graphic plus the PSD file for each. And since you’ll be getting unrestricted PLR rights, you may modify them, sell them, give them away or use as web or autoresponder content.

To get the second and third items listed above we will all be working together and here’s how it will work:
1. There will be a 2-part system for each of the giveaways: one part for contributors and another for members who join to collect the gifts.
Contributors – As soon as there are 5 unique contributors who have used my link to join as a contributor I will create a Giveaway Contributor Page where you can have your gift listed along with your giveaway link. The page will list 1 or both giveaways depending on whether or not the 5 unique contributor requirement has been met. I will not put my giveaway link(s) on this new page however I may list some of the other available gifts to entice more people to join. I will also request that visitors use the link that appears with the gift they are the most interested in getting in return for getting the gift.
Members – After the giveaways have started and there are 10 unique members (not contributors) who have used my link to join I will create a new Summer 2010 Giveaway page. Anyone who has a gift and a squeeze page may submit their gift and link for submission on this page. Yes, if you are a contributor to 1 of the giveaways you get to put a link to your squeeze page on this page.
The following items will be used to determine where your gift is placed:
Listed First: Giveaway Contributors
Listed Second: Giveaway Members
Listed Third: Everyone Else
Where your gift is placed on the Contributor Page and in each category of the Summer 2010 Giveaway page will be on a first come first serve basis.
2. When the number of contributors or members has reached the required amount I’ll send out an email so you’ll know when to send me your information to be placed on the page.
3. There are no purchase requirements, list size requirements or upgrades associated with this list building joint venture offer. I may however run an additional contest as I have done in the past to encourage more to join as a member for these giveaways. If I do have an additional contest it will help both of us get that Summer 2010 Giveaway page up faster.
4. Because I’ll be verifying your memberships manually please give me 24 hours to acknowledge your membership and send you your gift.

**** The Internet Marketers Giveaway – 4 stars since it took almost 48 hours to get my gift approved.
By the way, both giveaways offer you the opportunity to purchase an upgrade to get your gift more exposure. And while I have never purchased an upgraded membership since I think getting the email information for everyone who joins as either a contributor or gift getter is enough of a payment you may think differently. Getting an upgraded membership is your decision. I can’t make any recommendations since I’ve never done it.

Self Help Gifts Giveaway Event – Since I’m not in the self help niche I haven’t joined this event and am using the link emailed me by a member. Sorry I can’t tell you more about the event.
Instant Underground Gifts – I joined this one and discovered it uses a point system. You have to either purchase some points or refer at least 2 contributors before you’ll have enough points to submit your gift. I consider this to be one of those giveaways with crazy rules that only help those running the giveaway.

Thanks, I was looking for something along the lines of this. What would you say would be the most effective way of marketing online (apart from) emailing, because that’s a given.
Since I see you have a sign up form prominently displayed on your site I know you do agree that having your own list is the most effective way to market.
However, to answer your question, I think the second best way is paid advertising using either PPC or having your link on some relevant, high traffic sites.
