Build A Good Relationship With Good Auto Tweets – Not Twitter Spam

In 2008 hardly anyone knew what Twitter was or how to use it. However in 2 short years Twitter has become a well know social networking platform. And here’s an even more interesting fact about Twitter. SocialMediaToday reports “The majority of users never post anything … but they are definitely reading and clicking.”
True, there aren’t as many active Twitter users as there are on Facebook. But according to the SocialMediaToday article it’s because “Twitter users are far more likely to follow Brands/ Companies than social networkers in general” and “Twitter appears to be functioning as more of a broadcast medium compared to Facebook and many other social networking sites and services.”
Before reading this article I thought Twitter was a good marketing platform and wondered why I could never engage my followers in any conversations. Now I know. The most active Twitter users don’t ever say anything. They follow those who tweet about their interests and never reply or post anything themselves.
With this new information about Twitter users, I’ve changed my plans on using Twitter. Instead of trying to engage my followers in conversation I intend to give them more of what they want, good information. The only question is, how?
For me, the biggest problem with providing more good information is time. I don’t have the time to be logged into Twitter all day nor to I have the time to write several new articles a day. Therefore I needed a way to send frequent auto tweets that provided good information.
Now the problem with using most of those auto tweet generators is that you have to keep broadcasting the same message over and over. To me, that’s Twitter spam. While sending the same message a few times spread out over several time periods or days may be OK, just sending the same message endlessly isn’t.
Watch this video to see how I solved my problem of how to send good information via auto tweeting without spamming my followers?
That’s right. I found an auto tweet tool that allows me to share information from other bloggers who write about what my followers are interested in. So now my followers don’t just get automatic posts via a WordPress plugin about my latest blog article, they also get additional information from other bloggers.
So while I’m still not interested in fully automating Twitter to find followers and tweeting, I am interested in building a good relationship with my followers by sharing useful information frequently. And isn’t that what Twitter is all about?
To Your Success,
Susan
