Hi Juanita,2 very good questions.The answer for how effective the squeeze and splash pages provided by affiliate programs are really depends on 3 things:1. What the page is offering is extremely important. If they aren't offering something that high a percentage of the traffic exchange surfers want then the page will not be effective.2. How well they are designed. And since most have professionals designing and creating them, most have good designs.3. The number of times the page has been seen is also extremely important. Uniqueness counts on traffic exchanges. The more times a traffic exchange user sees a page the less effective it becomes. The viewers who are really interested will take the offer the 1st time they see it and a very small number may decide to check it out after they've seen it several times.As for question 2, off the top of my head I can think of only 1 place that provides an easy way to create splash and squeeze pages. They don't provide a lot of instructions however they have easy to use wizards to create pages and provide some graphics. They'll even give you a gift to give your new subscribers and host your splash and squeeze page. You can see the sample sample squeeze page and sample splash page I created in less than 10 minutes.

What about the squeeze pages that companies provide for their affiliates, Susan? Are they effective? Also, do you know any softwares/services that teach you how to create splash/squeeze pages? Especially one that provides the graphics? Let me know, please if you do.

Very good so far, Susan, and as your articles are aimed primarily at newbies and people who have not had much experience with TE’s, I think it would also be instructive to do a bit of the history of exchanges in the context of the changing internet.
A few years ago, exchanges were our primary source of connection, unlike today with the explosion of social network sites. In those days we would take the time to read the pages we were viewing, and we even stopped occasionally to click on banners or text links. Not so now, and in fact there are far less people surfing on exchanges, because there is so much more to do on Twitter or Facebook or YouTube, for example.
I agree completely with your comments about Splash Pages, and we now have one company using splash pages which say DON’T CLICK, as if anybody would waste time disobeying a negative invitation like that. You have to laugh!

And yes, just like every other form of driving traffic to your site, you have to know how to play the game to do it correctly. And now that I’ve told you the type of page you need to show just wait till I tell you how to earn those traffic credits quickly.
