Get More Web Traffic

While there are many ways to get web traffic 1 of the best ways is being found one the first page of a search engine. And sometimes getting on that first page isn’t as hard as you might think.

I stumbled across  this video showing a free tool that does SEO analysis.

In case you didn’t watch the 5 minute video here’s what happened:

1. A popular keyword phrase (over 14,000,000 competing sites) was entered.

2. An analysis of the top 20 sites found on the search engines was performed.

3. The analysis showed that many of those sites hadn’t performed some very basic search engine optimization.

Now obviously you won’t get more traffic for a keyword phrase if all the top sites are several years old or have thousands of backlinks. However, that’s not always the case. There are thousands of very popular keyword phrases where fairly new sites appear in the top 10.

And here’s another thing. You’re not trying to just get your site found by the search engines. You should be trying to get your pages found. So as you create new pages find keyword phrases that are specific for those pages and do some basic SEO. You never know. Doing some basic SEO might just get you more web traffic.
